For something different, refreshing and food-friendly that's bursting with flavor, try the Burgans 1999 Rias Baixas Albarino (produced in Galicia, on Spain's North Atlantic coast).

This Spanish white has a wonderfully pronounced, youthful nose of pear and melon. It's dry with crisp acidity, light body and a predominately pear fruit character on the palate with some grapefruit/citrus notes on the long finish.

This would work beautifully as an aperitif or with grilled fish or chicken dishes at your summer cook out. Not to mention Paella!

And at $9.99, it's also a "steal deal".

Cheers,
