My wife and I had a wine in Cancun at a resort and can not find any record of it ANYWHERE. I was wondering if anyone out there knows from where I can order some. It is called "La Campana" and it has a bell on the label. The other info on the label is which runs vertically up the label in a single line is:

Embotellado por UCSA - R.E. 5516 B 08770 ESPANA - Product of Spain - VINO DE MESA.

Also in dark green letters above La Campana is the words VINO BLANCO.

I appreciate any info on this wine. Thanks in advance...Clint

Welcome to the Wine Board, Clint. Checked everywhere I could think of and I can't find La Campana either. I think it may be a private label put out for the restaurant you were at in Cancun. Gallo does that in this country by making several wines that are available only in restaurants. The wine is available in shops under different names, but I'm sure what you had was only available there. A very popular Spanish white wine is made from Albarino grapes and I suspect that's what it was.

I didn't see this post before, so it here is my late opinion/contribution (hope is not too late).

If this is the wine that I remember, this is a very common/cheap with wine, use mostly for cooking.

I don't think this is from albariño grape but may be from palomino, since the wine flavor was blander. If I remember well it tasted more like a diluted white, dry Sherry.

The red version of the wine was similar to a Concord grape sweet wine, but not as sweet.
