dry or sweet?

A dry wine has next to no residual sugar after fermenting. A sweet wine has noticeable residual sugar. So, a wine can't be both. There are several white wines that have some sweetness or that taste as if they do. Some you might try are Riesling, Gewurztraminer or a demi-sec Vouvray.
