Hi Abkingery, and welcome to the Wine Board. Try a riesling (white wine) that does not have the words "dry" or "troken" on the label or comes from Alsace or Australia. For a red look for the newly released '03 Nouveau Beaujolais. If you like them, don't buy too many. They are made to be released fast, and the die fast. You can certainly drink them over the holidays.
