A really fun and informative book I read recently is "Oldman's Guide to Outsmarting Wine" by Mark Oldman. (Winner of the Goerges Duboeuf Wine Book of the Year award.) Lots of laughs and very good wine advice.

Right now I am reading two new books.

The first, "101 Wines Guaranteed to Inspire, Delight and Bring Thunder to Your World" is by Gary Vaynerchuk. This is a humorous but useful guide to exposing your palate to lots of different wines and styles -- see, for example, #68 'My, What a Big Pinot You Have!'

The second is "Wine on Tuesdays: Be a Serious Wine Drinker without Taking Wine Too Seriously" by Debra and Keith Gordon. This is a brand new book, just released, and I am enjoying it immensely. It's an easy read with very good information. It's a nice comprehensive little book, especially for anyone new to wine drinking. It may be a little too introductory for you, covering such basics as how wine is made, etc.

I recommend any of these three.
