He was probably talking about a format bottle that holds the equivalent of 6 bottles. The name of this bottle style (for Bordeaux) is called a Jeroboam. If it was a Burgundy or a Champagne, it would be more correctly called a Rehoboam but most people still call it a Jeroboam.
