Try Rieslings from the US or Germany.

They are widely availble.

From the US they are often a bit sweet. From Germany they come in a whole range from green apple tartness to dessert sweet.

In the opinions of most, Rieslings and Chardonnays fight it out as to which are the finest white wines in the world.
