I don't know for sure Foodie, but it sounds legitimate to me that this future wine lover just "kinda" screwed up. He did not originally state he was under age. I merely assumed it based on the contents of his question. This is something I could see two "kinda bored" teenagers doing with their "parents wine." Who else would come up with the idea of filling a bottle back up with colored water and taping over the cork, other than a teenager? In addition, his fear of "being grounded for the rest of his life" is not something an adult would likely consider- let's see.....no work, no responsibility, no stress from any negative social interaction, lay around the house all day, where do I sign up?

Something else that should be considered though, is that he acknowledged in his second response that he would have to get one of his "legal age friends to ask around" for him. Now correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think it is in the best interest of this web site, nor in any of our best interest, to now knowingly permit a person under the legal drinking age to continue to have access to this site as a member, do you?
