In the movies the distinguished gentleman goes to the cellar to fetch a bottle of wine from the turn of the century to enjoy with his closest friends. How can I store wine so as to enjoy it years from now? I read that red wine grows better with age, therefore are there proper steps in aging wine. Do I choose just any wine of my liking to store for future consumption or is there a certain wine to select? I heard that an unsecured cork could cause problems and if so how do I test for a “good” cork? Are they to be stored on their side or standing up? Please help!!
