2004 Llano Escatado Texas Signature Red Meritage

A cuvee' of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc in undefined proportions. Nice nose of red fruit with a bit of leather background, but disjointed on the palate; can't determine who's on first or second, can't even find the scoreboard. Might improve overnight but won't bet the ranch. 13% alc/vol and about $9. Good example of cool climate grapes being used in a hot arid environment to a sorry result. IMO of course; your mileage may vary.
