Bucko, it isn't that distributors do not send FL wines out west, it is more a case of not much to go around, and that most wineries aren't playing in the national game yet.

Perhaps what you say about land values will happen one day, but this is no grower's paradise; it takes true commitment to grow wine vines in the Finger Lakes region. Many simply haven't the staying power for such a sometimes adverse, but equally rewarding location.

Gene (Glenora), tell 'em how long it took this spring to get started; that should scare the weak-hearted away...
