Welcome to the WineBoard, Lawrence. The wine you have is made in Nahe, between the Rhine and the Mosel. The grapes used are Muller Thurgau (60%), Sylvaner (30%) and Riesling (10%). It's a light, fruity wine that generally is best drunk fairly young, probably within about three or four years from vintage, so I doubt your bottle is still viable. Current price is about US$16.50, which is about 9 GBP for the 1.5L, so I don't see any real value to the bottle. You can probably keep it around as a conversation piece, or chill it up, pop the cork and hope for the best.
