Agree wholeheartedly on Lynchs' store. However unless there's been some great change in the last 10 years you can't go eating in Berkely without going to Alice Waters' Chez Panisse. This, IMHO, ground-breaking, trend-setting lady has defined great food since around the early 70s' when she opened this lovely spot. Over the years when I was picking up juice 6-8 times a year we became friends and I never has a bad crumb in her jernt. It's at the top of the hill just below UC Berkely. Next time you're heading out post and I'll give you the exact address. WW
