First time I've had this region or grape (gros and petite Manseng).

Really interesting bottle of wine here.
It strikes me as being a bit like cross between chenin and sauv blanc.

It's fairly weighty and intense, but the strong acidity makes it feel lighter than it is. There's some waxy nuttiness, a strong citrus component, and a unique sourness I haven't noted in a wine before.

The nose is very Vouvray like in that there's a rich honeyed-component as well. It's dry, but very rich all around.

All in all, I love this wine for $14, and wish I had bought a case of it.
