Absolutely the finest bargain wine I've had since Roberto's $2.99 Primitivo. Dark purple color, refined floral and berry nose, ripe flavors of black raspberry and a subtle earth flavor I'm inclined to call truffle, though I'm not sure I know what that means, good length and some tannin on the finish. Despite its ripeness, there is enough acidity that the fruit flavors are very fresh and lively. Quite stylish and elegant and all for $10. Made a good match with bratwurst and asparagus from the grill.

This was released a couple years ago and I can't understand why it's still on the shelves. Buy it if you see it.
