Was this the twist top? If so, then it was not, but the regular Riesling bottling from Dr. Loosen. The carbonation you feel is typical of young rieslings and does go away with time. The vintage made for the slightly drier wine but is actually more like the Riesling Kabinetts that people like much for their crispness.

Good Maker. Try his other stuff too!
