2001 Spicewood Sauvignon Blanc

Another from Spicewood Vineyards in the Texas Hill Country. Tropical fruit on the nose and palate, esp. mangoes....grapefruit notes also definitely present, overtaking all others on the finish. A very pleasant quaffer before dinner, and accompaniment to a light cheese pizza topped with leftover grilled shrimp; just the kind of fare recommended on the side label by the winemakers, Ed and Madeleine Manigold. About $11 at the winery, and 13.5% alc/vol.
