Yikes!

Woodman, I'm in complete agreement about the "see God" thing with the zin, but I don't think the wine is down there with Fetzer and the likes. It's better than the fighting varietals no matter how you slice it. And the price is better.

As for Preston's other wines, have you had the Syrah? That wine, is one that will absolutely please. It's not possible that that wine is in the "fighting varietal" category. Maybe it's not Penfolds Grange, but it's also a $15 to $20 bottle of wine.

Glad to hear the '97 Seghesio is a success though. It would be hard to imagine that wine NOT being a success. :-)
