1999 Easton Fiddletown Zinfandel

1999 Easton, Fiddletown, Zinfandel ($25). Alcohol 14.8%. Had a half bottle of this tonight (true love is on medication) with broiled double thick lamb rib chops. Would have sworn I've posted on this one before, but it must have been the '98. This one comes across with a huge dose of sweet fruit on the nose and upfront. Gives an unusual combination of cassis like fruit, tobacco, and spices in a somewhat dry trip across the palate. Still is large and well structured enough finish splendidly. Look for it.
