IK, what do you mean "foodie is trying?" I turned you on to Collio Merlot. The problem in my shop, however: Merlot is a dirty word and those who think not will not pay the Collio price, mainly because they are stuck in what California has done to the variety. In Collio Merlot is far more than the normal one-dimensional varietal it is elsewhere. They have been growing it for more than centr'anni.
