Hi everybody. I was looking back through the threads and didn't notice many postings on red Graves or Pessac-Leognan wines. Are they generally just not as good as the Medoc wines? I tried one awhile ago--Ch. Coucheroy, which is the basic bottling from JF Lurton. The breakdown was 50-50 cabernet and merlot. It was not bad, just unremarkable and a little on the light side. Is this typical of the grape profile, if anyone happens to know? If it is, does that mean the wines from here will mostly be lighter than the other Medoc wines? I'm really just getting to know some Bordeaux wines, so please excuse all the questions. And I'm on a budget (aren't we all!), so I try to investigate any wines that look interesting and fall within my budget. Thanks for the help.
