It could even by something from Chateau St. Michelle, a large wine firm in Washington State. But then you would need to know if it's one of several Rieslings or Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc. that they market. You may have to ask her to write down the name of the wine she liked "so that you can try it if you ever see it on a restaurant wine list or in a store." She may catch on but that might be better than ordering the wrong wine to surprise her.
