Can someone please help me? I have been searching for a couple of months on this one wine bottle. It was given to me from a great man who faught in Hiroshima, he was in the fourth marine division and in 1989 he was given a comemorative wine bottle. There was supposedly only 12 given in the whole united states. I know it is a cabernet and the lable is red and yellow and it does not give any real strong information on it. I was wondering if you knew of a site that could help me. Or if you know any information at all. I will be much obliged for any kind of an answer. Thanks

Hi Mag and welcome to the board. You need to post Line for Lne, Word for Wor everthing on the label. What you have given us so far even the Great Karmack would be stumped. WW

Bupkis is what's left over after WW dives into a 94 Napa Cab (or two). At least before he went on that diet.

Peachez,

I have 2 ideas for you.

1) It's really a great wine, and there were only 12 bottles given out.

2) Being that it's red and yellow, it's probably a Marine Corps related label. And that it only says "cabernet" - it makes me think that maybe for some sort of reunion that this friend went to, they served wine that they had labeled for the special occasion. (We had this at the Marine Corps birthday ball last year - there were special labels on the wine, just for our event. I scrutinized the label, and found NO info regarding which winery/vineyard it came from.)

Good luck. Maybe the bottle has more info - I hope so.

It sure sounds special, though. Whether you drink it or not, I am sure you plan on keeping the bottle.

-Elizabeth
