Pinot Noirs

Hi Everyone: I am new to the Wine Board and would appreciate very much your input regarding a few Pinot Noirs you would recommend. I have been drinking and enjoying Napa Ridge Pinot Noir,which seems to go well with most of the foods I prefer; however, I would like to try some others. Could you suggest a few I could hunt down and try? Thanks in advance!

You might look for Oregon Pinot Noirs and those from the Carneros Creek area of California. I have liked a WillaKenzie Pinot Noir from Oregon. If you go back a year on the Pinot Noir/Burgundy thread you will find other specific recommendations. A Byron or Bryon Pinot Noir from the Santa Maria area of California was a big hit at one wine dinner I attended. It retails for about $25.00 and is part of the Robert Mondavi family of wines.

The two best pinots I've tried recently are Cambria Julia's Vineyard 1998 and Daniel Gehrs 1998, both from California. They run around $23 and $30, respectively. For something lower in price, I enjoyed the 1999 Flynn from Oregon. It's around $14. Price to quality, the Cambria is my personal fave -- just stocked up with another half case of it.
