Trying start to a collection.

I am trying to start collecting wines but as i have just come of age and haveing parents that do not drink wine i have no knowledge of where to start or what any thing means. My question is where could a find some basic knowledge and what types of wines are good for collecting?

There are sections on collecting in particular, on specific kinds of wine that might interest you, and the section on Best Buys has all kinds of info for beginning wine drinkers or collectors. Right now you can even learn about steak there.
