I just opened my bottle of wine. Since I am the only one drinking it, I cannot and do not wish to drink it all at once(I plan an 8oz glass a day). How do I go about storing it? Do I push the cork back in and put on the shelf in a dark corner, or put in the fridge? Do i need to get a different resealing cork?

Also, how long will it keep? The kinds I used to get where white zin but I am switching to reds for the health benefits. The current bottle I have is a red Merlot. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
