(also posted on another wine forum)
paid $19.99 and bought three bottles
9% alcohol; very pale straw color, clear
lemon and peach on the nose
lemon, peach and apricot on palate
bright acidity, nicely balanced, rich and mellow
Delightful! Some tartrate crystals with final glass. Drank first night with fried chicken and vegetable egg roll; second night with chicken teriyaki and rice.

I'm sure you didn't let the crystals deter you, WOW. I've seen way too many people over the years return bottles because of that. In fact, there was a restaurant we ate at frequently when we had to work late (way too much) when I was out in CA. We made a deal with the wine steward to save the bottles people had returned because of tartrates, and he sold them to us for his cost. I'm sure he later returned the empties to his distributor for a refund, so we all made out OK.

I also picked up a couple of these a few weeks ago and have been wanting to open one up (damn business trips have been getting between me and my bottles....). Maybe tomorrow when I get home.....

I doubt it. At least I wouldn't take it back as a distributor. The one thing you did do for him/her was save them the hassle of having to return it then remembering if the bottle was replaced.

Sometimes it's just easier to sell it for cost, let it go, and have a happy customer!
