1998 Geyser Peak Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma County, $8.50, 20,000 cases. This is another good value wine. Very clean, with crisp acidity, the wine is made in a moderately grassy, green apple style. This is a nice match for shellfish, or your favorite fish served with a leek coulis.

Finally, a good wine with large distribution so that we can actually drink it.

I shall look it up.

Don't dawdle...6 mos ago they expected to have a surplus of this variety this year...the medals, sweepstakes, trophies and critical praise now have it allocated and they expect to be out of this wine for the last quarter of the year.

If you can't find it, try Ch. Souverain, Canyon Road, Dry Creek or Rodney Strong.
