Asked my wine guy for a friendly Italian red for non wine/non dry wine drinkers and this is what he came up with. Served with my quicker version homemade spagetti

1997 Di Majo Norante
Ramitello
Dry Red Wine of Molise
Terra Degli Osci
$10

Made from the Aglianico and Prugnolo grapes.
Notes are a little weak, just know everyone liked it.

Solid, bright red fruit coupled with a touch of spice on the nose and palate. Solid acid (just right for a tomato sauce) and a touch of drying tannins. A very balanced, friendly little Italian.
