13.9% alcohol paid $24.00 upon release
Crimson color with purple edging.
Fruit flavors bridge dark cherry and plum with perhaps some boysenberry. Smooth with depth and elegance. Somewhat Burgundian.
Better the first night than the second. I had this with beef stroganoff.

I've become a big fan of Torii Mor, but have not seen the Oregon PN in the store for a couple years. Have they gotten away from that and only make the single vineyard (and more expensive) product now?

I'm not sure. I started with the Torii Mor Willamette Valley Pinot, then the broader designation Oregon. I have also had the 2002 Pinot Noir Reserve Deux Verres which was more expensive but I felt worth the extra bucks unlike some Oregon Pinot Noir Reserves which come across as too oaky.

As of the '06, they're still producing the regular Oregon bottling, which is a dandy QPR Oregon Pinot (something that, unfortunately, is becoming harder and harder to find). I haven't heard anything that would indicate that they're going to stop making it. I haven't had a bottle of this '02 in a year or two. I believe you and I have posted on it in the past in some thread or another. Anyway, they do seem to have shifted focus to more single vineyard wines (and the Deux Veres Reserve, which as you point out, is one of the Oregon Reserves that justify the price jump).

Great spread in the Dundee Hills, BTW -- we love visiting them and their neighbors, especially Maresh and Lange.

Thanks for the replies. Its good to know its still being made. I just have not seen it any more at the stores I usually have seen it in the past. I'll have to keep looking.
