Second wine of Branaire-Ducru. Deep garnet in color.

Upon opening, it was rather reserved. There was some nice soft fruit on the nose and older wood. On the palate, the fruit faded quickly but there were some chocolate hints until the wood and rougher tannins took over. Good acidity. This wine was probably opened a few years too early (not enough time to integrate the bits) but not sure that it would have beena great wine but could have been a good one.

Strangely the only 2000 that I could easily have mistaken for a Burgundy. $24.99
