I used to work at the post office in OK and had to learn the OK state P.O. scheme. I have never heard of Nuyaka...... send up a flare, man!

Not surprising that you haven't heard of the area. We are about 45 minutes southwest of Tulsa. There's a map on our web site and you definately need it to get there!

Got me too Buckinheimer. Was raised in Tulsa and NEVER has the towns' name passed by either ear. WW

Actually, calling Nuyaka a town may be too generous. Most of the area is cattle ranches, pecan groves and hayfields, but the woods are all full of decades old native grapevines.
It's a bit of a drive (from anywhere) but this is a small price to pay to taste watermelon wine.

Devonian ole native.... Hate to put down one of my fellow Okies but fermented watermelon juice isn't wine. Wine is made only from Fermented Grapes. WW

I'm not sure who's definition of wine you are refering to WW, but most dictionaries say that wine is a beverage made of the fermented juice grapes or of any of various other fruits or plants.
Country wines are traditionally made from a number of different fruits such as apples, pears, plums, etc.
