Everyone’s life has changed in 2020. Many of us no longer travel to work, instead we work from home. Most Vacations have been cancelled. Holiday dinners, in which many people look forward to the one time each year they will see their family, are being advised against. The one thing has stayed constant is people still buy and drink wine.
Drinking wine for me brings back memories. Tasting Chateau Lafite Rothschild, brings me back to the night I asked my wife to marry me. When I taste Chianti, the magical trip to Italy reappears. I remember the beauty of Florence, the one of a kind walk through Rome, where in the coliseum, my son pretends he was once a roman gladiator. Of course, my mind then takes me to the mountains and vineyards of Chianti and the tasting we had at a small vineyard.
One day things will return to normal. We will be able to go about our daily life. Cruises, air travel and resorts will be thought of as safe. Until then, take a trip around the world fueled by a glass of wine!
