i only like the dry wines can anyone give me a list and what foods go good with reds and whay ones with whites

I would suggest you go to your local book store, like Barnes & Noble. They have several titles there that can help you identify dry red and white wines along with food pairings for each.

Plus you might want to read many of the posts already on this board. I believe a good number of them discuss the items in which you've expressed interest.

Take Dutton's advice. Your question has a multitude of answers; just the number of red and white wines in the world would stagger anyone trying to understand the answers.

After you've read a few books on the subject, to give you a base from which to start, the best way to understand the myriad combinations of wine and food is to explore at home and in restaurants.

This subject is open to lifetime study, and that is great news!
