Beautiful deep scotch color with an equally arresting noss! Botrytis fruit, black tea, chystanthanum, raisins, blood orange nose. On the mouth rich, deep prunes, tea, honey, and behind all that rich nice, a nice seam of acidity holds it all together. Super smooth, rich, and very long, just a hint hot at the end. Great bottle showing very well at this time.

I'm not familiar with this wine. Is it a Sauternes or Barsac or something else? Which grapes?

WOW, Cadillac is an AOC in the Entre Deux Mers. It's north of Loupiac, another sweet wine producing area.

Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle.

Right across the Garonne from Barsac. Interestingly the AOC only applies to the white wines. The reds are still part of Cotes de Bordeaux.

KC,

They keep Cadillac separate so that when the bailout comes the other areas--oh wait: that's not the same Cadillac!!!
