Picked up a bottle for my mom and decided to try one for myself. Should have reconsidered that decision. A characteristic Fonseca wood nose, echoed on the palate, then a cloying sweetness, too much so to be enjoyed. I'll stick it in the fridge for her. About $18, which would have been better spent on the Taylor-Flagate LBV (any but the '99), if the shop had had any in stock.

It is a shame how just a little too much sweetness can ruin a bottling.
