Any thoughts on a wine pairing with lamb souvlaki (marinade: garlic, black pepper, lemon juice, etc).

Lemon and Lime juice make wine pairings pretty tough. A big Zinfandel or Primativo would maybe do the trick. WW

I would go for a big Barbera (Italian or NoCal). Big in wine with Barbera usually equates to big in price; around $20 or so.

If not for the lemon juice I'd say syrah or shiraz--good lamb and pepper pairing.
