I'm not the best at describing smells and tastes, but I will try to describe this one: The initial bouquet is semi-sweet dark fruit. My 1st impression was that of grape juice. I don't mean that in a bad way, but it does make me think of juice. The spice is light and the weight is of medium body. I think it's drinking great right now and it's a great buy at Dave's futures price of $12.50. I give it a solid 88/100. A fun zinfandel...

Hi Rags. Caffaro makes solid wines. Have had a lot of pleasure from his cabs. Will try this honker. WW

Even their Merlots are drinkable! I have a couple of the 94's left; will have to drink them soon!

I've only been buying David Coffaro in the last 3 vintages and didn't know he ever made Merlot. I'm a big fan of his juice, although some criticize him for his blending techniques that blur the varietal lines. His prices at futures offerings can't be beat for QPR

Hey guys, Don't confuse David Coffaro (from Dry Creek Valley) with Joe Cafaro. Two different wineries. Coffaro makes mostly reds, and mostly unusual blends, but really nice wines.
