Don't usually get around these here parts but....still trying to learn...

Dark garnet-purple. Nose is dominated initially by lost of oak but with just a bit of air, the fruit comes out. Dark fruit with a sweet taste and a soft supple mouthfeel. Tannins in check but man this thing is a bit hot. The hotness is persistent. 14.6% ABV.......

Nice enough especially for the price. Got mine for about $12. Not for the current weather,...maybe leaving it for next summer's barbacue season.

Bottle is settling down a bit, the dark sweet fruit is now front and center and there is a lingering Chocolate sensation to the wine. A bit of a steel high note. Still a bit hot at the end but not like the first bottle. Much better this time.

Heat has calmed down on this, and it's drinking very well right now -- just in time for summer BBQing. Anne liked it very much and consumed most of the bottle, so all I got were a few tastes to form a general opinion.
