1993 DeRose Cedolini Family Vineyard Cienega Valley Dryfarmed Hillside Reserve Zinfandel

A lonely orphan at my favorite wine store. Scents of ruby port jump from the glass. Almost opaque dark colored ruby with slight bricking at the rim. Brambly port flavors overwhelm the senses and linger for 45+ seconds! There are flavors of maple, cinnamon, mature plum, bitter earth and flavors I cannot describe!! A little heat on the nose and finnish. Served with spicy dry rubbed chicken and it was over the top, but who cares? This is the best zin I've ever had. 13.8% Alc/vol. $14.99
I got to turn that store upside down for a few more bottles.

Drew

Drew-radar. I've posted on the DeRose for several vintages, the latest being the 96. They make one killer zin. WW

I like this Zin as well. I gave it a good note when others were trashing it. I would not want to drink it every day, but there are those times.......
