1993 Gallo Sonoma Zin

Found this orphan in the cellar. Clear black/ruby with bricking esp at the rim. Nose of sweet vanilla, black fruit, somewhat muted. Flavors of perfectly balanced zinberry fruit and oak, tea and cola with a long finish (nice surprise!) Still some drying tannins on the finish. 13.5 % Alc/vol

I like about 7 years on a Zin myself, in general, of course there are those made in a light style that are meant to be drunk young. I am just now drinking my 1990 Ridge Geyservilles.

Drew & B-Guy(orGeyhehe), I've posted several orphans Zins that turned out to be Sin-Friggin'-Sational the last one being I think a 79 Lytton Springs. I too, like the buckereeno, put at least 7 on my better bottlers. Them dudes do gets better. WW
