...old vine zin. lodi zinfandel alc. 14.5% $8 and change from Sam's club. Seemed pretty good to me! Nose was kind of wet hay/sawdust with a fruitiness in the background. My wife could only smell "wood". With some air, and a couple glasses, seemed to change more caramelish. Tasted up front like a fairly non acidic fruit like blueberry and sweet cherry followed with a nice caramel aspect up under the tounge with a soft fruit flavor dominating the finish. Tannins were present but very mild. An easy drinker that ran empty way to quickly. WP
