anyone out there that can help
im a student trying to come up with a menus but dont know what wines will go with each dish
my starters are
Crab and Gruyere Tartlet
French onion soup with Gruyere cheese & croutons
mains are
Grilled Salmon with peas, lettuce and lardons
Supreme of Corn fed chicken, creamed carrot swede and spinach mash, garlic and tarragon cream
desserts
Chocolate Truffle Terrine with passion fruit cream and raspberries
ot Chocolate Fondant and Rich Vanilla ice cream

Hi Lucille, and welcome to the Wine Board. We have an excellent search function on this board. Just enter each food in a general (not specific) way and you will find plenty of recommendations. For example there are four pairings for French Onion Soup.

I'd have no trouble pairing to this menu. This one screams for an all-bubbly wine list.
For a 2 wine menu: NV Brut with the entree, soup and plat principal, Braschetta d' Acquii with dessert.
Three wine: NV brut with the first 2 courses, and a decidedly heavy Champagne (Bolly NV or a vintage wine with some weight) with the salmon and / or chicken (A brut rosé could work equally well with the chicken). Still gotta go with the Bd Acquii with the chocolate.
