What a difference a year makes. This is the fruit, intensity, and depth I associate with this killer vineyard. Magical juice with upfront berries that defy description, aromatics that could double as a john de-odorizor, and a finish that Heritage Furniture would be proud of. This sucker re-affirmed my love of this old, beautifully tended dry-farmed vineyard.WW

There are two Dusi's in Paso. Ridge bottles the (Benito) Dusi Ranch and TB bottles the (Dante) Dusi Vineyards. The Benito Dusi Ranch was planted in 1923 and the Dante Dusi in 1946. Both are dry farmed, head pruned vineyards with low yields and both produce some luscious fruit. Just a little history for those who care.

The Mastantuano 1978 Dusi was from Benitos' plot and ranks with the 1977 Lytton Springs as one of the 5 best Zins ebber to pass these ole' wrinkled lipz. WW.

Ole Pasquale gave us two signed bottles of his 25th anniversary Barbera when we were out about ten years ago. Have one left - I hope it's still good.
