The Biales have been growing Zin in Napa since 1937. 837 cases made from old vines originally planted by Aldos` father. Clear, brite ruby, with almost faceted hi-lite beaming from the glass. Nose of berries, vanilla, and spices that all come across on the palate. A concentrated nectar that tamed the onions, tobasco, and ham into a medley of Art Tatums` "Fascinating Rhythm", Oscar Petersons` " World is Waiting For the Sunrise" and Mel Tormes`" What are you doin` New Years Eve"? Having 2 more of Biales` Zins today, the 96 Crane and the 95 Late-Picked. The LP was allocated to 2 bottles. Had the 1st one last year. Unbelievable 18.5% alcohol and so much fruit that it`s smooth as silk, with no heat and depth rarely seen in a Zin. I`ll put it on the board after the week-end. Agin`HNY. WW

I have enjoyed the Crane Vineyard offering many a time. Biale does a nice job.
