as someone new to the wine scene, i'm feeling my way around (well, swirlin' sniffin' and sippin' would be more accurate).

i've seen the term "fruit bomb" used to describe a couple of wines. i found one that i would put that label on.

this ravenswood absolutely filled my mouth with flavor. i've never quite experienced anything like it...and boy, did i like it.

only thing that struck me a little odd: i've found that many wines taste better the second day, after spending a night with the vacu-vin. but i felt this one lost much of its punch on the second night.

since i'm just learning, i'd always like to hear what the folks here have to say.

cheers!

Newsguy, you`re gettin there. One point , the Vacu-Vin is darned near worthless as a preservation help. IMHO the best unit is the Private Reserve system used with putting the bottle in the fridge. Seems this preserves as much of the original as any-thing. This is all second-hand as I can`t remember not finishing what I was drinkin`. winoweenie
