This is the best Zin I have had so far. Although that is not saying much, I haven't had that many. Blackberrys all through this one, spicy and very jammy. A good smooth finish. $11.99 at Total Wines.

A sales person recomended this wine. I have done a quick search on the web but didn't find this wine. It's bottled by Alterra at the Adler Fels Estate. I found Adler Fels Winery but there was no mention of this wine. Is any one familair with this wine? Total Wine has other Alterra wines. I'll have to give them a try.

They probably need to update their website as they list their 2000 Alterra Grand Melange. I haven't seen this locally but have a question....blackberry flavors dominate this zin? Seems unusual.

Thanks Drew. The web site I found had the latest Zin at 1999.

I was trying to pick out the flavor I was tasting. It was a rich tasting berry, I had my wife taste it and she said blackberry, I agreed. I knew it was different from other Zins I have had. Thats why I was wanting to see if any one else had any experiance with this wine.
