Brought a 1.5 ltr jug to a potluck for current and former innkeepers tonight. As you might expect, the food was fabulouso. Though there was lots of nice juice there, for some reason the Woodbridge zin evaporated first. Y'all might consider bringing one to next similar event you attend.

I just read that the Woodbridge zin is 86% Lodi Zinfandel. Although I haven't tasted it yet, it sounds like a real bargain!t

Okay, I bought a 750 ml bottle of 2000 Woodbridge Zin for $6. Whatever the other 14% of the wine is, it is more than worthy of inhabiting the same bottle as Lodi zinfandel.

I once swore that I would never buy another bottle of cheap Woodbridge Zin, but this vintage is a quite a good wine and a steal at $6. It could use a tad more acidity, but I can't complain when I consider the low price.

I quaffed a glass with a hamburger steak and Spanish rice, and a second glass with a sharp cheese and French bread. This mellow wine was complimentary to both food combinations.

I can heartily recommend this zin for your daily red.

Per the Mondavi website, it's 1% Cabernet, 13% Barbera. Tasty blend with that Lodi Zin.
