Beverford Merlot 2001

Anyone know anything about this Australian wine? A wine sales rep is pushing it at $30/ bottle. He makes it sound great but I don't know enough to jump at it.

Heard of it, but never had it. That $30 is a bit much for an Australian Merlot with not much history here.
