2003 Maddalena Merlot

Paso Robles.
This was a really nice merlot that we drank with Christmas dinner. Ripe dark fruit, black cherry, black raspberry, with hints of vanilla and pepper. Good sturcture and a long finish. One of the better merlots I've had in a while. Paired well with the brined roasted turkey dinner with classic sides. 14.1% Alc/vol. Paid way too much, I found out, at $26.
